COME

We are coming to the Spirit
We watch as our neighbor comes too

Come

There is no other way
Each of us, all of us

​There is a call that can not be ignored
It’s louder now than before
Everyone chats about it,
at least by the look in their eye

We are tired of the pain...I understand

So tired

Disconnected from each other
Disconnected from God

This yearning to heed to the call used to be kept Holy,
for the saints and sages
for them it was acceptable to spend time seeking and finding

Although we are grateful to those who walked before us,
we lay people recognize now,
we too, are holy

The heartbeat of the earth cries out, “No more”
As we reject the organization, corporation, panel and committee

The yearning to know and be known has expanded
And will not be contained
 
Just as the lover of our body reaches over to touch our flesh
So the Spirit longs and groans for us to come home

Just come

Eager to take us, as we are even more eager to go

No fear, surrendered, willing for anything
We travel to higher, longer, wider, deeper places

Pioneers for those who will come after us

Beyond the Cross,
transfiguration takes hold

We transcend,
not because it’s our choice,
rather because we have no other

The Father loves us more,
creating us and hovering over our darkness

“Let there be Light”, He says

There is Light

It is Good

Pure, bright, white on earth as it is in heaven
Burning out that which keeps us bound up in chains

Transcribe the Pure Word, Eat the Pure Food
Breath the Pure Air, Drink the Pure Water
Absorb the Pure Sun

Explorations without conclusions keep us free
From the burden

“It’s not your fault” He says

And our only task is to believe
