Selenite & Clear Quartz

“In a crystal we have clear evidence of a formative life principle, and though we cannot understand the life of a crystal, it is nonetheless a living being.” – Nikola Tesla

Formation and Discovery
Crystals have captivated human imagination for millennia, not just for their beauty but for their profound spiritual and healing properties. Selenite and clear quartz are among the most revered in the crystal healing community...

Selenite is a variety of gypsum and is named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, reflecting its ethereal, luminous appearance. It forms in sedimentary rocks and is commonly found in countries like Mexico, the United States, and Morocco.

Clear quartz known as the "master healer," is silicon dioxide and is found worldwide. Major deposits exist in Brazil, the United States, and Madagascar. Its transparent and prismatic nature allows it to amplify energy and thought, making it a cornerstone in crystal healing.

Historical Usage
Throughout history, civilizations have recognized the healing powers of crystals. Ancient Egyptians used clear quartz to balance the body's energies and ward off evil spirits. Greeks wore selenite as protective talismans, believing it could bring mental clarity and connect them to divine wisdom.

In medieval times, healers used clear quartz in elixirs, believing it could purify and energize water, enhancing its healing properties. Selenite wands were used by priests to direct spiritual energy during rituals and ceremonies.

Controversies and Religious Perspectives
The use of crystals has not been without controversy, especially within certain religious circles. Some Christian denominations view crystal healing with skepticism or outright disapproval, associating it with New Age practices that diverge from traditional beliefs.

However, it's interesting to note that the Bible references crystals numerous times. The foundation stones of the New Jerusalem in the Book of Revelation are adorned with precious stones, including clear quartz. Additionally, as an interesting side note, the name "Christ" shares an etymological root with "crystal," derived from the Greek word "krystallos," meaning ice or clear stone.

Intentions and Ethical Use
Like many powerful tools, crystals can be used for both good and harmful intentions. It is paramount to use them with integrity and pure intentions. Crystals should never be used to manipulate or harm others; which in the end only harms oneself. Instead, they should be employed to promote healing, love, and positive transformation for oneself and others.

Healing and Spiritual Power
Selenite is known for its calming and soothing energy. It promotes peace, clarity, and purification. Healers use selenite wands to cleanse the aura, remove energy blockages, and enhance spiritual communication. Its ability to connect to higher chakras makes it a favorite for meditation and spiritual work.

Clear quartz with its ability to amplify energy, is versatile in healing practices. It enhances mental clarity, aids concentration, and boosts the immune system. Its capacity to amplify the properties of other crystals makes it a powerful tool in any healing kit.

My Personal Experience
In my practice as an energy healer and spiritual life coach, selenite and clear quartz have been invaluable. Personally, I have experienced profound clarity and peace while meditating with these crystals. Selenite's gentle yet powerful energy helps clear my own energy field and my workspace between client sessions, ensuring a pure and balanced environment. Clear quartz amplifies intentions and healing vibrations, enhancing my meditation and healing sessions. The synergy of these crystals has enriched my personal spiritual practice and elevated the healing experiences I provide for my clients.

Combining Crystals with Energy Healing
Integrating selenite and clear quartz into energy healing practices can yield remarkable benefits. Selenite can clear stagnant energies and open the pathway for higher guidance, while clear quartz can amplify the healing intentions set during a session. Together, they can balance and harmonize the mind, body, and soul, facilitating profound healing and spiritual growth.

Crystals hold ancient wisdom and vibrational energies that can enhance our lives when used with respect and positive intentions. Embrace the power of selenite and clear quartz, and let them guide you on your journey to well-being and spiritual enlightenment.

May you always have a high-vibe, happy & healthy life.
